Outdoor First Aid Course – A Must for Anyone in the Outdoor Industry!
Whether you're working or spending time in the mountains, on rivers, or leading activities like DofE or Ten Tors, this course is perfect for those venturing into the outdoors, especially in remote locations. The course includes a combination of classroom-based learning and hands-on outdoor casualty simulations, equipping you with the skills you need to handle emergencies confidently.
What to Expect
Day 1: Classroom-based learning covering essential first aid topics.
Day 2: Outdoor practical application of skills through casualty simulations.
Course Content Includes:
First Aid Equipment
Assessment of the Situation
Prioritising Treatment
Environmental Factors
Moving a Casualty
Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
Fractures and Spinal Injuries
Control of Bleeding
Head Injuries
Poisoning
Sprains and Strains
Hypothermia & Frostbite
Heat Exhaustion
Qualification Details:
Tutor to Candidate Ratio: 1:12
Completion: Must be completed within 9 weeks of starting.
Re-validation: After 3 years, re-attend a similar course to maintain certification.
Certification:
Nuco Training Instructor Certificate
Level 3 Ofqual Regulated Certificate (Valid for 3 years)
