Training: Mastery of navigation (map & compass), campcraft (tents/stoves), and safety.
Practice Expedition: A mentored learning experience; students are not yet assessed.
Assessment Expedition: The official qualifying venture. Teams travel independently to demonstrate their skills.
🛡️ Safety, Health & Behavior
Qualified Staff: All instructors are Mountain Leader/Paddlesport qualified, First Aid trained, and DBS checked.
Medical & Consent: A medical form is mandatory for all participants. You must declare all allergies, dietary needs, and medications. For severe conditions, a doctor’s note may be required.
Medication: Should be kept on the participant, but instructors must be informed.
Behavior: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol, drugs, or vaping. Respect for the team and environment is required; failure to comply may result in immediate removal.
Contact: We operate a "No News is Good News" policy. If you don't hear from us, everything is going well. We will use the emergency contact provided if needed.
📱 Phones & Facilities
Phones: Allowed but discouraged. They are for emergency use only—not for navigation.
Showers/Toilets: At campsites, toilets are usually available. For wild camping (Gold/International), no facilities exist (Leave No Trace principles apply).
